On July 15, 2019, the 2018 FCA (Fiat-Chrysler Automotive Group) North American Suppliers Annual Meeting and Excellent Supplier Awards Conference was held at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, Michigan, USA. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Scott Thiele, President of FCA North America Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. He emphasized that FCA North America achieved its most impressive performance in 2018 since 2009, and it relied on the support and joint efforts of all supporting suppliers, especially the supplier partners who were invited to attend the conference. Suppliers spare no effort to continuously create value and bring innovation to FCA North America, which is the guarantee of FCA North America's excellent performance. In 2018, FCA North America selected outstanding suppliers of the year in four dimensions: Quality, Cost, Delivery & Warranty according to 16 different groups including body, chassis, powertrain, electronics, logistics, and maintenance. Guangdong Hongtu Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangdong Hongtu"), with its good QCDS performance in 2018, stood out among the more than 600 FCA powertrain supporting suppliers worldwide and won the FinalistforPowertrain Supplier of the Year It represents FCA North America's affirmation of the supplier's commitment, comprehensive performance and cooperative spirit. Guangdong Hongtu is the only award-winning casting supplier, and it is also one of the five Chinese-funded enterprises that were awarded the same day. Mr. Mo Jianzhong, Vice President and General Manager of Die-casting (Headquarters) of Guangdong Hongtu received the award on behalf of the company and took a photo with Mr. Scott Thiele.
Guangdong Hongtu and FCA have established business relations since 2006. The annual business volume has increased from several million US dollars in the year to tens of millions of US dollars in 2018. The types and quantities of supporting products have also increased rapidly. Guangdong Hongtu will take this award as an opportunity to continuously improve its management and technical level to provide customers with better products and services.
